For a first-time refusal to take a chemical test after DUI arrest, your license will be suspended for:
- No suspension
- One month
- One year — correct answer
Why
The handbook states that refusing means DMV will suspend or revoke your driving privilege (Section 9); the Vehicle Code sets a first refusal at one year. Refusing does not prevent a conviction on other evidence.
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
