Topic 2 · Requirements and Process
For under-18 drivers, the supervising driver while practicing must be:
- A parent/guardian, driving instructor, or licensed adult age 25 or older — correct answer
- Any licensed driver over 18
- A sibling with a license
Why
For a driver under 18, the supervising driver must be a California-licensed driver at least 25 years old, seated where they can take control. (Handbook, Section 2.)
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
