Topic 3 · Rules of the Road: Traffic Laws in California
If a school bus is stopped with flashing red lights, you must:
- Only stop if you are behind the bus
- Stop from either direction unless on the other side of a divided highway — correct answer
- Slow down but do not stop
Why
Red flashing lights mean stop, from either direction, and stay stopped until the lights stop flashing. You do not stop only if you are on the other side of a divided or multilane highway — two or more lanes in each direction. (Handbook, Section 7 — Around Children.)
Practise this in the real format
