If you have flares or reflective triangles after a breakdown, you should:
- Hold them in your hand to wave down traffic
- Put them directly under your vehicle
- Place them 200-300 feet behind your vehicle — correct answer
Why
Place them well back — roughly 200 to 300 feet — so drivers get warning at speed rather than at the last moment.
Practise this in the real format
