If your car has ABS and you need to stop quickly, you should:
- Press and hold the brake firmly — correct answer
- Use the parking brake
- Pump the brakes repeatedly
Why
With four-wheel ABS, apply firm steady pressure and hold it. The system pulses the brakes for you — pumping defeats it. (Handbook, Section 8.)
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
