If you lose all steering control, you should:
- Turn off the car immediately
- Brake carefully and use hazards and horn — correct answer
- Accelerate quickly
Why
Brake progressively rather than slamming, and use hazards and the horn to warn others while you slow to a stop.
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
