A driver required to use hand controls has:
- A temporary permit rather than a license
- A mechanical device restriction on their license — correct answer
- A restriction that expires after one year
Why
Requiring special mechanical devices such as hand controls is one of the restriction types the DMV can impose. (Section 12, Driver's License Restrictions.)
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
