If you must descend a steep, icy hill, you should:
- Accelerate to keep momentum
- Go slowly, use low gear and gentle braking — correct answer
- Use only your emergency brake
Why
Go slowly in a low gear so the engine does the braking. Hard braking on ice locks the wheels and you lose steering.
Practise this in the real format
