Carbon monoxide from a vehicle's exhaust is dangerous because it is:
- Deadly and odorless — correct answer
- Visible but harmless in small amounts
- Only produced by diesel engines
Why
All gas-powered vehicles produce carbon monoxide, a deadly odorless gas released from the exhaust pipe. (Section 8, Be Aware of Carbon Monoxide.)
