Your vehicle has four-wheel antilock brakes (ABS) and goes into a locked wheel skid. You should:
- Apply firm pressure on the brake pedal — correct answer
- Pump the brake pedal quickly
- Release the brake completely and coast
Why
With four-wheel ABS you hold firm pressure on the pedal and let the system do the pumping. Pumping is what you do in a vehicle WITHOUT ABS. (Section 8, Locked Wheel Skids.)
