Topic 4 · Defensive Driving and Safe Driving Practices
The shoulder harness of a seat belt should be worn:
- Across your shoulder and chest, with little or no slack — correct answer
- Behind your back if it is uncomfortable
- Under your arm, so it does not touch your neck
Why
Wearing it under the arm or behind the back defeats the belt. It goes across the shoulder and chest with almost no slack. (Section 8, Seat Belts.)
