If your car does not have ABS and you need to stop quickly, you should:
- Press brakes firmly but avoid locking wheels — correct answer
- Hold the pedal to the floor
- Pump the brakes rapidly
Why
Without ABS, brake firmly but short of locking the wheels — a locked wheel skids and cannot steer. (Handbook, Section 8.)
Practise this in the real format
