If you notice fuel leaking after a crash, you should:
- Ignore it and wait for help in your car
- Try to plug the leak yourself
- Get well away and call 911 — correct answer
Why
Get well clear and call 911. Leaking fuel plus hot metal or a spark is an immediate fire risk.
