If your vehicle is carrying a heavy load or towing, you should:
- Increase your following distance to allow more stopping time — correct answer
- Follow closer to take advantage of drafting
- Drive as you normally would
Why
Extra weight means a longer stopping distance. Increase your following distance to give yourself back the time the load takes away.
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
