Topic 2 · Requirements and Process
Which of these may you use during the behind-the-wheel drive test?
- Automated parallel parking
- Adaptive cruise control
- A backup camera, but never instead of actually checking mirrors and blind spots — correct answer
Why
The test evaluates your ability, not the vehicle's technology. Automated parallel parking, lane departure and adaptive cruise control are not permitted. Backup cameras and blind spot monitors may be used, but never as a replacement for an actual visual check. (Handbook, Section 3.)
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
