Topic 2 · Requirements and Process
You are out of state and cannot renew your license. You may request:
- A temporary license issued by the other state
- An indefinite extension until you return
- A one-year extension, before the license expires — correct answer
Why
You email dl-extensions@dmv.ca.gov with your name, license number, birth date, California address and out-of-state address, before the license expires. (Section 4, Extend Your Driver's License.)
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
