You should create extra space in front of you when following a motorcyclist on:
- Metal surfaces such as bridge gratings or railroad tracks, and on gravel — correct answer
- Roads with a posted minimum speed
- Wide, well-lit boulevards
Why
Those surfaces are where a motorcycle is most likely to lose grip, so the handbook asks for more space. (Section 8, Tailgating.)
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
