Your vehicle stalls on a train track but no train is coming and no lights are flashing. You should:
- Stay in the vehicle and wait for help to arrive
- Push the vehicle off the tracks by yourself before calling anyone
- Get out and call the number posted on the crossing post or control box, then call 911 — correct answer
Why
The posted number reaches the railroad directly and can stop trains. Give the crossing number if it is posted, say a vehicle is on the tracks, and then call 911. (Section 8, Disabled Vehicles on Railroad Tracks.)
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
