Topic 3 · Rules of the Road: Traffic Laws in California
A blind pedestrian pulls in their cane and steps away from the intersection. This usually means:
- They are asking you to sound your horn
- They want you to stop and wait
- You may go — correct answer
Why
That gesture is the pedestrian telling you to proceed. Never honk at a blind person: the horn gives no useful information and can be dangerous. (Section 7, Pedestrians Who Are Blind.)
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
