If a crossing guard displays a stop sign in a school zone, you must:
- Proceed slowly around them
- Stop and wait until the guard and all children have completely cleared the road — correct answer
- Only stop for children, not the guard
Why
Wait until the guard and every child are completely clear of the roadway before moving. Children are unpredictable and a guard's sign carries the same authority as the law.
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
