On a bright sunny day, where are you still required to turn on your headlights?
- On mountain roads and in tunnels — correct answer
- Nowhere: headlights are only required from dusk to dawn
- Only if a sign specifically requires it
Why
Use your headlights on mountain roads and in tunnels even on sunny days. They are also required 30 minutes after sunset until 30 minutes before sunrise, whenever you cannot see 1,000 feet, and any time you need your wipers. (Handbook, Section 5.)
