Topic 3 · Rules of the Road: Traffic Laws in California
On a road with multiple tracks, after one train passes you should:
- Ignore the warning lights
- Proceed immediately after the first train passes
- Make sure another train is not approaching before crossing — correct answer
Why
A passing train hides a second one on the next track. Wait until you can see clearly down both directions before you cross. (Handbook, Section 6.)
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
