Topic 6 · Alcohol, Drugs, and Driving (DUI Laws)
Can you be required to submit to a chemical test for suspected drug DUI?
- Yes, by implied consent — correct answer
- No, only for alcohol
- Only with a court order
Why
By driving in California you have already consented. Refusing a blood or urine test costs you your driving privilege for a year on its own. (Handbook, Section 9.)

Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
