Topic 3 · Rules of the Road: Traffic Laws in California
Ending lanes on freeways and streets are usually marked with:
- A double solid yellow line
- Large broken lines painted on the road ahead of the lane's end — correct answer
- No marking at all: only signs warn you
Why
The end of lane markings warn you the lane is finishing so you can move over in time. (Section 6, End of Lane Markings.)
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
