Topic 3 · Rules of the Road: Traffic Laws in California
If you see a 'yield' sign, you must:
- Treat it as a stop sign
- Speed up to merge quickly
- Slow down and give right of way to cross traffic — correct answer
Why
Slow down and be ready to stop, giving way to any vehicle, cyclist or pedestrian before you proceed. (Handbook, Section 6.)
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
