Topic 3 · Rules of the Road: Traffic Laws in California
Two sets of solid double yellow lines two or more feet apart are:
- A barrier you may not drive on, turn across or make a U-turn over, except at designated openings — correct answer
- A carpool lane marking
- A wide center lane you may use to turn left
Why
Two sets spaced two feet or more apart count as a barrier. Only designated openings may be used. (Section 6, Lane Markings.)
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
