You must file a DMV SR-1 form within 10 days if:
- Only your car is damaged
- You are at fault for any collision
- There is injury, death, or over $1000 in damage — correct answer
Why
The SR 1 is due within 10 days whenever anyone is injured or killed, or property damage exceeds $1,000 — whoever caused the collision, and even on private property. (Handbook, Section 10 — Reporting a Collision.)
Practise this in the real format
