You must report a collision to the DMV within 10 days if:
- The police did not attend the scene
- There was more than $1,000 in property damage, or anyone was injured or killed — correct answer
- You were found to be at fault
Why
Those are the two triggers, and the injury one applies even if the injuries were minor. (Section 10, Reporting a Collision.)
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
