Topic 3 · Rules of the Road: Traffic Laws in California
You sign a traffic ticket and then fail to appear in court. The DMV may:
- Cancel the ticket after 12 months
- Suspend your driving privilege until you appear — correct answer
- Add two points and take no further action
Why
Signing the ticket is a promise to appear. A failure to appear goes on your record and the DMV may suspend your driving privilege until you do. (Section 7, Points on Your Driver's Record.)
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
