A collision is added to your driver's record:
- Whenever there is $1,000 in damage or anyone is injured or killed, regardless of fault — correct answer
- Only when the police file a report
- Only when you are found responsible
Why
It is your responsibility to report it, and the DMV adds it to your record no matter who caused it. (Section 10, Collisions on Your Driver's Record.)
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
