Topic 3 · Rules of the Road: Traffic Laws in California
A single solid yellow line down the middle of the road tells you:
- Traffic on both sides travels in the same direction
- The lane on your right is for buses only
- It is the center of a two-way road, and you may not pass if the solid line is on your side — correct answer
Why
A single solid yellow line marks the center of a road with two-way traffic. With one lane in your direction and a solid yellow line on your side, passing is not allowed. (Section 6, Lane Markings.)
Practise this in the real format
