Before starting to pass, the first thing you should do is:
- Signal that you plan on passing — correct answer
- Move into the passing lane
- Speed up to close the gap
Why
Signal, look over your shoulder for blind spots, move into the passing lane, speed up, then signal and return. (Section 6, How to Pass.)
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
