You are stopped while driving in the carpool lane. You should:
- Stop in the carpool lane, which is safer
- Pull over to the left shoulder, which is closer
- Move completely onto the right shoulder — correct answer
Why
The handbook says to move completely onto the right shoulder even if you were in the carpool or HOV lane. (Section 6, During a Law Enforcement Stop.)
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
