At a railroad crossing the gate rises, but the red lights are still flashing. What do you do?
- Cross slowly, checking both directions first
- Stay stopped — do not cross until the lights stop flashing — correct answer
- Cross: a raised gate means the track is clear
Why
Do not proceed over the tracks until the red lights stop flashing, even if the gate rises. A second train may be coming. (Handbook, Section 7.)
Practise this in the real format
