To pass safely, an approaching hill or curve should be at least:
- 100 feet ahead
- One-third of a mile ahead — correct answer
- One mile ahead
Why
That is the distance the handbook gives for judging whether there is enough space to pass. (Section 6, Passing.)
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
