Topic 3 · Rules of the Road: Traffic Laws in California
Turning right at an intersection, the handbook tells you to check especially for:
- Traffic behind you preparing to pass
- Vehicles approaching from the far left lane
- Pedestrians crossing, and motorcycles or bicycles riding next to you — correct answer
Why
Right turns are where motorcycles and bicycles alongside you are easiest to miss, along with pedestrians already crossing. (Section 7, Intersections.)
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
