When entering a bike lane to make a right turn, you should:
- Merge into the bike lane within 200 feet of the intersection after checking for bicyclists — correct answer
- Turn from outside the bike lane
- Never enter the bike lane
Why
Merge into the bike lane within 200 feet of the intersection, after checking that no cyclist is alongside. Turning across the bike lane from outside it is what causes right-hook collisions.
Practise this in the real format
